1999 Labrador Retriever Club of Canada National Specialty
Over the last couple or years we have tried something new in obedience by entering a Obedience Team. Team obedience is 4 dogs and 4 handlers in the ring judged at the same time doing the same pattern. It is alot of fun because you never know what could happen. Above is the picture of the 1999 team which is known as the Glosettes.
You get to meet alot of different people at dog shows and make lots of friends. But if you ever see these three characters sitting at ringside run for your lives they are addicted to dog shows and are usually a rowdy bunch . Try to ignore them like the dog on the left.
The other good thing about going to some of these dog shows is that you get to put the kids through their paces also
When does all of this work start with the dogs? Right from the time they are young pups with sanction matches in conformation to JR puppy classes in obedience and field training.
